ASTERMET G-1 tablet is a combination of two medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Glimepiride stimulates beta cells in the pancreas, increasing the release of insulin hormone. Metformin reduces sugar production by liver cells and delays sugar absorption from the intestines.
