Glimepiride 2 mg + Metformin 500 mg + Voglibose 0.3 mg

ASTERMET GV-2 tablet is a combination of medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It is generally used when one medicine alone is not controlling your blood glucose effectively. Glimepiride works by stimulating beta cells in the pancreas, increasing the release of insulin hormone. Metformin reduces sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestines.

Voglibose prevents the breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents the blood glucose levels from rising to very high levels after meals. Taking this medicine regularly along with proper diet and exercise will help you live a normal, healthy life.
